Preparation before your Brow Lamination & LVL Lash Lift treatment begins:
This is a bespoke treatment tailored to each individual client, so we will start with a quick consultation to determine which eyebrow shape you want and which lash tint and curl to use. We’ll also need to perform a 48 hour patch test before your treatment, to test the products against your skin and make sure there are no allergies.
We advise that you avoid using high-strength retinol or exfoliating acids on the skin near your brows for 48 hours prior to the treatment. It’s also best not to tweeze or wax the brow hairs before the lamination process, and to keep your eyelashes clean on the day of your treatment.
The entire brow and lash lift process takes about 60 minutes from start to finish. We will alternate between the eyelash lift and brow lamination treatment process to get both done for you in no time. Here’s how they work:
Brow Lamination Treatment:
Eyebrow lamination is a chemical process much like a perm. We use a cream solution to relax the brow hairs, allowing each hair to be straightened and manipulated into the shape we want. Once this first relaxer has kicked in, we’ll apply a brow glue to set the brows into place. Lastly, we’ll tint (if desired) and finish the eyebrows with a nourishing oil to smooth and hydrate.
Lash Lift Treatment:
The “LVL” eyelash lift stands for length, volume, and lift, and this advanced technique is similar to the brow lamination, working like a perm for your eyelashes. We will start by cleaning and prepping the lashes and applying appropriate protection for your delicate under-eye skin.
Our lash expert will apply a curved silicone bar to your upper lash line, and use a bonding gel to press your eyelashes up against the rod in a curling motion. Once this has set, a lifting balm will be applied to manipulate the hairs and lift them from the root. Lastly, we’ll apply a volumizing fix to seal your lashes into shape, and add a tint of your choosing.
Lash & Brow Lamination Aftercare Tips:
In the 48 hours after your brow lamination and lash lift treatment, it’s very important to avoid getting your lashes or brows wet as this can deactivate the chemicals that are perming your hairs into place.
To maintain your eyebrows after the first 48 hours are up, use a brow conditioner or brow gel regularly to nourish the hairs. You can even dip a clean mascara wand into a little castor oil and brush the brows up and into place to help maintain their shape. For your lashes, you can do the same with a lash conditioner. It’s also important to avoid using eyelash curlers or oily products on your lashes, to keep your LVL lift in place.
The benefits of a brow lamination and eyelash lift include:
- Natural looking results – our clients love how this treatment enhances the eyes so naturally.
- Semi-permanent solution – laminated brows and lashes stay in place for 6-8 weeks.
- Customisable – we can tailor this treatment to give you the exact brow shape and eyelash lift you want.
Best of all, with a bespoke brow and lash treatment at Araya Beauty salon, you can be safe in the knowledge that you are being treated with the highest quality products by practitioners with extensive experience in the Irish beauty industry.
